Beterverwagting
Beterverwagting, also known as B. V, is a village located in South America Guyana; on the East Coast of the Demerara River. Located roughly 10 miles from the capital, Georgetown, its an important feeder village for the sugar estate located in La Bonne Intention, a village adjacent to it. The name Beterverwagting comes from the Dutch words "Beter verwachting" which literally means "better expectation". It was the birthplace of British actor and singer Cy Grant.

Lusignan Massacre
The Lusignan Massacre refers to the murder of eleven residents of Lusignan, East Coast Demarara, Guyana on January 26, 2007. The victims were murdered by a group led by Rondell "Fineman" Rawlins. After carrying out another massacre when they attacked the town of Bartica, Essequibo and murdered 12 people, Rawlins and many of the other suspected gang members were later killed by Guyanese security forces.

Annandale, Demerara-Mahaica
Annandale is a community in the Demerara-Mahaica region of Guyana, located on the Atlantic Ocean at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:6|46|58.8|N|58|1|58.8|W| | |name= }}, near Buxton. Historically, Annandale was always an "Indian (or Indo-Guyanese)" village, but today it has sizeable populations of Blacks and Indians. Note Indians are still the largest ethnic group here.
