Crabwood Creek

Crabwood Creek is a small community on the Corentyne River in the East Berbice–Corentyne region of Guyana. The population of about 10,000 people is primarily descendants of indentured labourerss who were brought to Guyana from India in the mid-1830s. Crabwood Creek is located approximately two miles from the larger town of Corriverton, home to the Guyana Sugar Corporation's skeldon Estate which provides jobs to a majority of the surrounding communities.

Courantyne River

The Corentyne / Corentyne / Corantijn River is a river in northern South America in the country of Suriname, it is the longest river in the state. The river originates in the Acarai Mountains and flows northward for approximately 724 km between Guyana and Suriname, emptying into the Atlantic Ocean near Corriverton, Guyana and Nieuw Nickerie, Suriname. A ferry service operates between these two towns.

Corriverton

Corriverton is the most easterly town in Guyana. It lies at the mouth of the Corentyne River, opposite Nieuw Nickerie, Suriname, to which it is linked by ferry from South Drain. Corriverton is located about 195 mi/313 km from Georgetown on the eastern side of Guyana, in the county of Berbice. Its population in 2002 was 11,574. South Drain

South Drain, also Zuiddrain, is a town in western Suriname. Since the pavement of 32 kilometres road section to Nieuw Nickerie, it is the final destination of the northern East-West Link. The European Union funded the reconstruction, which started in 2007, with 13.2 million euro. The section was opened on 30 April 2010. There is a jeep trail between South Drain and Apoera, connecting the Northern East-West Link with the Southern East-West Link.
