The Arawak village of Wakapau is located in the Pomeroon-Supenaam Region of Guyana, on the Wakapau River, a tributary on the west bank of the Pomeroon River, 3 kilometres from its mouth, located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:07|31|N|58|48|W|region:GY_type:city|| |primary |name= }}. Hackney, Guyana

Hackney, is a village in Guyana, standing on the eastern bank of the Pomeroon River, 11 km from its mouth. Formerly the business centre for residents of the coconut estates of the lower Pomeroon River, Hackney is still of some importance. Moruka River

The Moruka River is a river in the Barima-Waini region of northern Guyana. Settlements along the river include Santa Rosa, Kamwatta and Asakata. Around 5300 years ago, Warao on the Moruka River developed the dugout canoe, making possible the peopling of the Caribbean.
