Békásmegyer

Békásmegyer is a neighbourhood in Budapest, Hungary. It belongs administratively to District III. Békásmegyer is consisted of two different parts, a huge high rise housing estate and the traditional Ófalu ("Old Village") with older houses. Békásmegyer is divided into two by the Szentendre HÉV line. It was an independent village until 1 January 1950 when it was merged into Budapest. Today 41,000 people live in Békásmegyer Microdistrict and a few thousand in the former village.

Hungarian folk music

Hungarian folk music includes a broad array of styles, including the recruitment dance verbunkos, the csárdás and nóta. During the 20th century, Hungarian composers were influenced by the traditional music of their nation which may be considered as a repeat of the early "nationalist" movement of the early 19th century but is more accurately the artists' desire to escape the hegemony of the classical tradition manifold at that time.

Ferenc Szusza Stadium

Szusza Ferenc Stadium (earlier known as Megyeri úti stadion or simply Megyeri út) is a football stadium in Újpest and the home of Újpest FC. The stadium was designed by Alfréd Hajós and opened on 17 September 1922. The stadium was renovated in 2000-01; its capacity is 13,501. Since 2003 the stadium is named after Ferenc Szusza, one of the best strikers in Hungarian football history.

Újpest-Városkapu (Budapest Metro)

Újpest-Városkapu (lit. Újpest City Gate) is a station on the M3 (North-South) line of the Budapest Metro. It primarily serves the extreme southwest corner of District IV and northwest District XIII. Next to the station, there is a Volánbusz bus terminal (buses from northeastern suburbs). The station and the tracks approaching it in both directions were constructed from the surface. Buildings formerly occupying the swath were not rebuilt.

Csobánka

Csobánka is a village in Pest County, Budapest metropolitan area, Hungary. Csobánka is located in the Pilis Mountains which is a National Park in Hungary. The name Csobánka comes from Ottoman Turkish چوبان (çoban) rooted in < Persian چوبان (čubân). which means shepherd. The word csobán originated from the settlement of the Magyars in Hungary. The earliest record of the official name was mentioned in a tax minute-book on January 3, 1698.
