Lundey

Lundey, literally "Puffin Island" in Icelandic, is a small, uninhabited island off the western coast of Reykjavík, Iceland. It is about 400 meters long and 150 meters wide. Its highest point lies about 14 meters above sea level. The island serves as a haven for seabirds, including puffins, black guillemots, fulmars and Arctic terns. Frequent sightseeing tours from nearby Sundahöfn harbor travel here by boat, as puffins and other seabirds have become a major tourist attraction in Iceland.

Viðey

Viðey is the largest island of the Kollafjörður Bay in Iceland, near the capital of Reykjavík. It is the location of the Imagine Peace Tower, which is a "Tower of Light" envisioned and built by Yoko Ono, widow of Beatle John Lennon. According to the Associated Press: "The tower is a beam of light, radiating from a wishing well bearing the words "imagine peace" in 24 languages. The plan is for it to be lit each year between his birthday, October 9, and his death December 8."

Imagine Peace Tower

The Imagine Peace Tower (Icelandic: Friðarsúlan, meaning "the peace column") is a memorial to John Lennon from his widow, Yoko Ono, located on Viðey Island in Kollafjörður Bay near Reykjavík, Iceland. It consists of a tall tower of light, projected from a white stone monument that has the words "Imagine Peace" carved into it in 24 languages. These words, and the name of the tower, are a reference to Lennon's peace anthem "Imagine".
