Bobbarlanka

Bobbarlanka is a village in Repalle mandal of Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is located 84 km from Vijayawada and 12 km from Repalle. The modern day village is situated to the west of the Krishna river right levee and is uniquely extended from north to south longitudinally, spanning more than 2 km. As one moves to the south, it will become Tsodayapalem.

Velanadu

Velandu is the ancient name of the coastal region on the banks of River Krishna in the Guntur District and include Chirala area of District-Prakasam. The terms Velandu or velnadu connote outer area (Velupala Prantham) in Telugu. Ref: Manual of Krishna District . In contrast the interior area around Amaravathi on the banks of Krishna was referred to as 'Kroranadu' or 'Kronnatavati', meaning krotha nadu i.e. newly inhabited area.
