Charkhi Dadri mid-air collision

The 1996 Charkhi Dadri mid-air collision occurred on 12 November 1996 over the village of Charkhi Dadri, to the west of New Delhi, India. The aircraft involved were Saudi Arabian Airlines Flight 763 (SVA763), a Boeing 747-168B en route from New Delhi to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and Kazakhstan Airlines Flight 1907 (KZA1907), an Ilyushin Il-76TD en route from Shymkent, Kazakhstan, to New Delhi.

Rohtak district

Rohtak district is one of the 21 districts of Haryana state in northern India. It is located in the southeast of Haryana and northwest of Delhi, bounded by Jind and Sonipat districts to the north, Jhajjar and Sonipat districts to the east, and Hissar, Sirsa, and Bhiwani districts to the west. Rohtak city is the district headquarters. Rohtak is home to the current chief minister of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Anamudi

Anamudi is located in the Indian state Kerala. It is the highest peak in the Western Ghats and South India, at an elevation of 2,695 metres, and a topographic prominence of 2,479 metres . The name Anamudi literally translates to "elephant's forehead," a reference to the resemblance of the mountain to an elephant's head. The first recorded ascent of the Anamudi was by General Douglas Hamilton of the Madras Army on May 4, 1862, but it is likely that there had been earlier ascents by local people.

Bhiwani

Bhiwani is a city and a municipal council in Bhiwani district in the state of Haryana, India. It is known as the city of temples and often termed as "Choti Kashi". Besides being a seat of spiritual learning, the city has been the centerstage of regional politics. The city is hometown to three of Haryana's chief ministers: Bansi Lal, Banarsi Dass Gupta and Hukum Singh. District Bhiwani was created on 22 December 1972. The district headquarters is situated in Bhiwani town.

Bhiwani district is one of the 21 districts of Haryana state in northern India. Bhiwani was created on 22 December 1972. The district headquarter is situated in Bhiwani town. The district occupies an area of 5,140 square kilometres . It is situated between 28.19 deg. & 29.05 deg. north latitudes and 75.26 deg. and 76.28 deg. east longitudes. It has 442 villages with a population of 1,425,022. The district headquarters is the city of Bhiwani, which is around 124 kilometres from Delhi.
