Siddapura, Udupi

Siddapura is a village in the Kundapura taluk of Udupi district in the Indian state of Karnakata. A dam built across the Varahi Riveris nearby. A temple of devi Bhuvaneshwari is situated near Gunjagodu. It is about 25  km from Kundapur. The Varahi river powerplant is situated about 5 km from Siddapur. It is a typical South Canara village, hot during summer and heavy rains during monsoon. Agumbe is about 30 km distant. The nearest railway station is Kundapura.

Hebri

Hebri is a small town in Udupi district of Karnataka, in the route from Udupi to Agumbe. Hebri is at the foot of the Western Ghats of India in Karnataka state. This place is a main junction and a central point where roads leading to Brahmavar, Karkala, Kundapura, Shimoga and Udupi. The place is of full scenic beauty with evergreen forests which gets highest rainfall across the year. Someshwara Wildlife Sanctuary is located nearby which covers the entire route till Agumbe and to western Ghats.

Bhandarkars' Arts & Science College

Bhandarkars' Arts & Science College is a college in Kundapur, Udupi district, India. It has around 2000 students. The college has a vast library having around 65,000 books and a well equipped internet café. It's one of the only library in Kundapur having an elevator. The building was built at a cost of 1.2 crore. A new building completely dedicated to computer science has also been constructed. The college also provides a separate reading room.

Uppinakudru

Uppinakudru, is located at 6 km towards north of Kundapura Udupi District. It is a small island village, once famous for trading of salt (uppu) and also for seafood (picking of sea shells in backwaters) and native place of Uppinakudru Kogga Devanna Kamath, internationally known artist for Yakshagana puppet dance or puppetry.
