Milagres Church (Mangalore)
The Milagres Church (Portuguese: Igreja Nossa Senhora do Milagres, English: Church of Our Lady of Miracles) is a historic Roman Catholic Church situated in the Hampankatta locality of Mangalore. The church was built in 1680 by Bishop Thomas de Castro, a Theatine from Divar, Goa. The original structure was constructed at the site of the present-day cemetery. It is one of the oldest churches in Dakshina Kannada.

The church came into existence in 1837 at the time of the Goan schism when some Catholic families withdrew from their Parish Milagres Church and acknowledged the jurisdiction of the Vicar Apostolic of Verapoly. They built a church only a few yards away from the Milagres Church. Since then it has undergone alterations and additions.
