Tannirbhavi Beach

Tannirbhavi beach is a beach in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. Currently, it can only be reach by land via Panambur or by ferry via Gurupura river from Sultan Battery. On the other side of the landstrip of the beach there is a barge mounted 220 MW power plant set up by the GMR group. It is located at a distance of 12 Km from Mangalore. Very Close to the Beach one can see Two ships that have agrounded.

Canara College

Canara College was started in 1973 by the C.H.S. Association, which has managed educational institutions since 1891. It is affiliated with Mangalore University. The college provides three years degree courses in Arts, Science, Commerce and Computers to men and women. Over 27 years, they gained 86 ranks in the University Examination, including 10 first ranks.

Kadri Park

Kadri Park is a garden, 5 km from the city near AIR studios. It is located in Kadri gudde (meaning hill in Tulu). It's the largest park within city limits of Mangalore. The park has beautifully laid gardens along with a Snake Park, zoo and a toy train. Its a nice hangout place/picnic spot for children, couples, young & old. There's another park called Pilikula Nisargadhama in Vamanjur about 10 km from the city which is bigger in size.

Canara High School

Canara High School is an educational institution in Mangalore which was founded by Ammembal Subba Rao Pai in 1891. He is also popular as the founder of Canara Bank, now a major nationalized bank in India. Since 1944, when a sister school was opened at Urwa, this school has been called Canara High School (Main). In 2009, a CBSE school was inaugurated on this campus, offering classes from 1st to 10th standard.

Shree Vishnumurthy Temple

Shree Vishnumurthy Temple is located in the town of Kulai near Surathkal about 15 km north of Mangalore in the state of Karnataka, India. This is an ancient Vishnu shrine has a statue estimated to be about 600 years old. The temple's presiding deity is Shree Vishnumurthy who is another form of Lord Vishnu. Initially no temple complex was evident but Venkatramana Hebbar, a local archeologist and historian, found a small shrine in a state of ruin in the forest around 1911.
