Shahkot is a small town and tehsil located near Jalandhar, Punjab, India. Shahkot is situated on the Jalandhar – Moga road. Shahkot is administered by the Municipal Committee. About 250 villages belong to Shahkot tehsil. Shahkot is famous for its red chili peppers. Red roofs are a common site in Shahkot during chilli producing season.

Guru Nanak National College, Nakodar

Guru Nanak National College (GNNC) is situated at the by- pass Jalandhar, Punjab, India. Established in 1969, it is one of the oldest educational Institutes in the Doaba region of Punjab. The College is named after Guru Nanak Dev, the first of the ten Sikh Gurus.

Harike Wetland

Harike Wetland also known as "Hari-ke-Pattan", with the Harike Lake in the deeper part of it, is the largest wetland in northern India in the Tarn Taran Sahib district of the Punjab state in India. The wetland and the lake were formed by constructing the Head works across the Sutlej river, in 1953. The headworks is located downstream of the confluence of the Beas and Sutlej rivers.
