Annur is a suburb of Coimbatore situated 28 kilometers north-west of the city. It is 25 kilometers north-west of Gandhipuram on the Coimbatore–Sathyamangalam-Bangalore national highway. The Coimbatore International Airport is about 21 kilometers and the Coimbatore Junction is about 32 kilometers from Annur. Annur is located between Coimbatore city and Sathyamangalam on NH 209.

Sri Venkatesa Perumal Temple (Melathiruppathi) – Mondipalayam
This temple is counted among the noted Vishnu temples of Kongunadu. The image of the lord is flat on the four sides and conical in the center. The form was first discovered by one Kondamanaicker around 300 years ago. The devotee once sighted his cow shedding her milk on a sandhill. Induced by curiosity, he dug it, when manifested the image with Conch (Sanguchakkram) and Disc (Chakkram) as well as Saligram and Chikandi (weapon).

Sirumugai is a Panchayat town and a suburb in Coimbatore rural district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It has a centuries-old history that dates from the period of Tipu Sultan, an 18th-century Great King of the Muslim dynasty. During the period of the British in March 1819, John Sullivan made a bridle path up the hill from Sirumugai to Kotagiri, which was the only route to the Nilgris from Coimbatore until 1832.
