Sirumugai

Sirumugai is a Panchayat town and a suburb in Coimbatore rural district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It has a centuries-old history that dates from the period of Tipu Sultan, an 18th-century Great King of the Muslim dynasty. During the period of the British in March 1819, John Sullivan made a bridle path up the hill from Sirumugai to Kotagiri, which was the only route to the Nilgris from Coimbatore until 1832.

Mettupalayam, Coimbatore

Mettupalayam is a taluk of Coimbatore Rural district, located to the north of the city of Coimbatore on the way to Ooty. It is located in the foot hills of Nilgiri hills about 38 km north of downtown Coimbatore, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Mettupalayam is the third largest township in the district and one of the fast developing suburbs on the northern side of Coimbatore.

Black Thunder (theme park)

Black Thunder is a theme park located in Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated at the foot of Nilgiris near Mettupalayam, in Coimbatore 40 km north of the city and occupies an area of about 75 acres . The park offers about 49 rides, Surf Hill and the Wild River Ride notable among them. The park has a hotel situated within its premises.
