Dakpathar Barrage

The Dakpathar Barrage is a concrete barrage across the Yamuna River adjacent to Dakpathar in Uttarakhand, India. In a run-of-the-river scheme, the barrage serves to divert water into the East Yamuna Canal for hydroelectric power production at the Dhakrani and Dhalipur Power Plants. The foundation stone for the dam was laid on 23 May 1949 by India's Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. The project was delayed due to funding and both power stations were commissioned in 1965.

Mohan Pass

Mohan Pass is a principal pass in the Siwalik Hills, the southernmost and geologically youngest foothills running parallel to the main Himalayas in Sikkim. The main road from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh to Dehra and the hill station of Mussoorie in Uttarakhand cuts through the pass, then crosses the foothills.

Tons River

The Tons is the largest tributary of the Yamuna and flows through Garhwal region in Uttarakhand, touching Himachal Pradesh. The Tons thrust is named after this river. Its source lies in the 20,720 ft (6,315 meters)) high Bandarpunch mountain, and is one of the most major perennial Indian Himalayan rivers. In fact, it carries more water than the Yamuna itself, which its meets below Kalsi near Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
