Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport

Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport is located 17 km northeast of Makassar and operated by PT. Angkasa Pura I. The new terminal was opened on 20 August 2008. This airport is the main gateway for flights to the eastern part of Indonesia, and named after Sultan Hasanuddin, a Sultan of Gowa, who fought against the Dutch East India Company in the 1660s.

Makassar

Maros

Maros is a town in the South Sulawesi province of Indonesia; it is the capital of the Maros Regency. Nearby is a prehistoric cave that has been submitted to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative list.
