Marapi (also known as Merapi or Berapi) is a complex volcano in West Sumatra, Indonesia. Its name means Mountain of Fire, and it is the most active volcano in Sumatra. Pariangan

Tanah Datar Regency

Tanah Datar is a regency (kabupaten) in West Sumatra province, Indonesia. The regency has a population of 334,000. The capital of the regency is Batusangkar. The town of Padang Panjang is also located in the regency but constitutes a municipality (kota otonom) of its own.

Baso (island)

Baso is the middle town between Bukittinggi and Payakumbuh, West Sumatra. It is only 15 kilometers east of Bukittingi. In the history of West Sumatra this town was the transit and junction town of Payakumbuh, Bukittinggi and Batusangkar. This town was known also as the most important farmers trading and crops collection point in West Sumatra.
