Tomb of Cyrus

The Tomb of Cyrus is the burial place of Cyrus the Great of Persia. The tomb is located in Iran, at the Pasargadae World Heritage Site. It has six broad steps leading to the sepulchre, the chamber of which measures 3.17 m long by 2.11 m wide by 2.11 m high and has a low and narrow entrance. Though there is no firm evidence identifying the tomb as that of Cyrus, Greek historians tell that Alexander III of Macedon believed it was.

Pasargad County

Pasargad County is a county in Fars Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Saadat Shahr. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 29,825, in 7,100 families. The county is subdivided into two districts: the Central District and Hakhamanish District. The county has one city: Saadat Shahr.
