Clonycavan Man

Clonycavan Man is the name given to a well-preserved Iron Age bog body found in Clonycavan, Ballivor, County Meath, Ireland in March 2003. He has been calculated to have been approximately 1.76 metres (5 ft 9 in) in height, and is remarkable for the "gel" in his hair. Only his torso and upper abdomen are preserved. He was found in a modern peat harvesting machine, which was possibly responsible for the severing of his lower body. He had a squashed nose and crooked teeth.

Clonard Abbey

Clonard Abbey (Irish, Cluain Eraird, or Cluain Iraird, "Erard's Meadow") was an early medieval monastery situated on the River Boyne, just beside the traditional boundary line of the northern and southern halves of Ireland in modern County Meath. The village of Clonard is nearby.

Clann na nGael GAA (Meath)

Clann na nGael is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Athboy, in County Meath, Ireland. The club was founded in 2002, combining the two former GAA teams of O'Growney Club Athboy (a hurling and football club), and An Ghaeltacht Rath Cairn (football-only club). The club fields both Gaelic football and hurling teams. It competes in Meath GAA competitions. The club takes part in the annual Peile na Gaelige also.

Hill of Ward

The Hill of Ward (Irish: Tlachta, formerly Tlachtgha) is a hill in County Meath, Ireland. It lies between Athboy (to the west) and Ráth Chairn (to the east). During medieval times it was the site of great festivals, including one at which winter fires were lit at Samhain, the forerunner of the modern Halloween. It is associated with the figure Tlachtga, a druidess in Irish mythology who is said to have given birth to triplets on the hill.

Ballinlough Castle

Ballinlough Castle is a 17th century country house situated near the rural town of Clonmellon in County Westmeath, Ireland on a hill overlooking two of the Westmeath lakes. It is the home of Sir Nicholas and Lady Nugent. The ground floor houses a large drawing room and dining room with four first-floor bedrooms approached by a vaulted corridor above. The rooms have what may be the tallest windows in a private house of this period, overlooking the woods and lake.
