Clongowes Wood College

Clongowes Wood College is a voluntary secondary boarding school for boys, located near Clane in County Kildare, Ireland. Founded by the Society of Jesus in 1814, it is one of Ireland's oldest Catholic schools, and featured prominently in James Joyce's semi-autobiographical novel A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. One of five Jesuit schools in Ireland, it had 450 students in 2011/2012 when the fees were €16800 per annum. The school's current headmaster is Fr Leonard Maloney.

Staplestown, County Kildare

Staplestown (Irish: Baile an Stáibléaraigh) is a village in North County Kildare, Ireland, located 25 miles west of Dublin. The village has a church, a school, a post office and shop and is home to St Kevin's GAA. The church in Staplestown is known as St. Benignus. It is over 200 years old and is one of the oldest churches in the Kildare and Leighlin diocese. The diocese is a racial and ethnic society. The church is built to a T plan and has three galleries, and was renovated in the 1990s.
