St Fintans, Mountrath GAA

St Fintans, Mountrath is a Gaelic Athletic Association hurling and gaelic football club in Mountrath, County Laois, Ireland. The club colours are red and white and the club grounds are called St Fintans GAA Grounds. The club is a senior hurling club and won its only Laois Senior Hurling Championship in 1942.

Slieve Bloom Mountains

Situated close to the geographical centre of Ireland, the Slieve Bloom Mountains (Sliabh Bladhma in Irish) rise from the central plain of Ireland to a height of 527 metres. While not very high, they are extensive by local standards. The highest points are Arderin (527 m) at the southwestern end of the range and Baunreaghcong (511 m) at the end of the Ridge of Capard.

Castletown GAA

Castletown GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association hurling club in County Laois, Ireland. The club colours are blue and white. The current Castletown club was founded in 1974 and has won a total of 8 Laois Senior Hurling Championship titles since 1995. They have also played in 3 Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship finals but lost all 3. At underage level the club amalgamates with Slieve Bloom GAA club. Now known as Naomh Eamann.
