Essen is a small hamlet in the municipality Haren in the province Groningen. It lies between the city of Groningen and the village of Haren. In 1215 a monastery was founded in Essen (or Yesse). It existed until 1594. During the Protestant Reformation it was closed down by the province of Groningen. It was known for having a miraculous statue of Mary (mother of Jesus). Punchestown Racecourse
Punchestown Racecourse is located in the parish of Eadestown, between the R410 and R411 regional roads near Naas, County Kildare, in Ireland. It is known as the home of Irish Jumps Racing and plays host to the annual Irish National Hunt Festival. As well as horse racing, Punchestown hosts several music events, including the annual Oxegen, while AC/DC, Bon Jovi and Eminem are among the artists to have played concerts on the racecourse. Dick O'Sullivan has been interim manager since 2003.
