Kilcavan GAA

Kilcavan GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association gaelic football club in County Laois, Ireland. Founded in 1946, the club colours are maroon and white. The club grounds are situated near the villages of Killeigh and Geashill which are on the other side of the Offaly border. Derek O'Connell in 1995 became the only Kilcavan player to play for Laois at senior championship level.

Rosenallis GAA

Rosenallis Gaelic Athletic Association club is a hurling and gaelic football club in the village of Rosenallis in County Laois, Ireland. The club colours are green and white. The club formerly amalgamated with the Clonaslee-St. Manmans club to play senior hurling under the name Tinnahinch. Seamus Dooley and Declan Conroy are two of the club's most famous players, representing Laois at senior hurling level.

Tullamore transmitter

The Tullamore transmitter was an AM radio transmission mast located near Tullamore, Ireland. Built in 1975 to replace the Athlone transmitter, it always carried RTÉ Radio 1 on 567 kHz, at 500kW. The Athlone mast was used to carry RTÉ 2fm, and later decommissioned. The entire setup was taken off-line for a time in 2004 for major maintenance, with the Clarkstown transmitter taking over Tullamores job of carrying RTÉ Radio 1 to AM listeners in Ireland and the UK.
