Vartry Reservoir

Vartry Reservoir is a reservoir at Roundwood in County Wicklow, Ireland. The water is piped from Vartry to a large open service reservoir in Stillorgan in the southern suburbs of Dublin. The reservoir is operated by Dublin City Council. The original (lower) reservoir was completed in 1863, and has a capacity of 11.3 billion litres and a maximum depth of 18.3 meters. A second embankment, 3.5 km upstream, was completed in 1923 to form the upper reservoir.

River Vartry

The River Vartry is a river in Ireland. It rises in Calary Bog under the Great Sugar Loaf mountain in north County Wicklow. In 1861 Parliament passed the Dublin Waterworks Act creating the project to dam the River Vartry in Roundwood to form the Vartry Reservoir. This was completed in 1865 and was the first clean source of water for Dublin replacing the canal water.

Charlesland is located on the southside of Greystones in County Wicklow about 25 kilometres from Dublin city centre. Charlesland has about 1,500 houses and apartments, a neighbourhood shopping complex with supermarket,">http://www. charleslandcentre. ie, hairdressers, pizza take-away, a pharmacy, and also a number of pre-schools and a large sports and recreation complex.

Killincarrig

Killincarrig (Irish: Coillín na Carraige, meaning "Little wood of the rock") is a village between Greystones and Delgany in north County Wicklow. It lies at the crossroads (now a mini-roundabout) of the R762 and the R761 roads. Like neighbouring Delgany it has been steadily built-up over the past 40 years and now forms part of the continuous urban area of Greystones.

Bellevue House, County Wicklow

Bellevue House was an 18th century country house set in its own 300 acre (120 ha) demesne between the villages of Delgany and Ballydonagh, County Wicklow some 25 km (16 miles) south of the City of Dublin. It was demolished in the 1950s. The house had extensive gardens with winding paths and large glasshouses and fine panoramic views across the Glen of the Downs (an unspoilt wooded valley to the east) and across farmland westward to the Irish Sea.
