Avellino eruption

The Avellino eruption of Mount Vesuvius refers to a Plinian-type eruption that occurred in the 2nd millennium BC and is estimated to have had a VEI of 6. It is the source of the Avellino Pumice (Italian: Pomici di Avellino) deposits named from the comune of Avellino in Campania where they have been found extensively.

Vesuvius National Park

Vesuvius National Park (Italian: Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio) is a national park centered around the volcano, Mount Vesuvius, east of Naples, Italy. The park was founded in 1995 and covers an area of around 135 square kilometers all located within the Province of Naples. It is centered around the Vesuvius, an active volcano, and its most ancient (now inactive) crater, Monte Somma. It houses 612 vegetable species and 227 wildlife ones.

PalaMangano

PalaMangano is an indoor sporting arena located in Scafati, Italy. The capacity of the arena is 3,000 people and is named after former coach Massimo Mangano. It is currently home of the Scafati Basket basketball team.

Villa Boscoreale

Villa Boscoreale is an ancient Roman villa located in the town of Boscoreale, about one and a half kilometers north of Pompeii, southeast of Vesuvius, in Campania, southern Italy. This area was a hunting reserve and also used agriculturally, specializing in wine and olive oil. Evidence in tablets and graffiti shows that the house was probably built in the 1st century (around 40-30) BC. The villa was largely destroyed and entirely buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79.
