Naviglio di Paderno

The Naviglio di Paderno was a navigable canal of the Navigli system in the Lombardy region of Northern Italy. Approximately 3 kilometers (1.8 mi) long, it was built to bypass the rapids on the Adda River in the Paderno Dugnano section of the river. This is the canal where Leonardo da Vinci famously experimented his new mitred gates for pound locks.

Trezzo sull'Adda Bridge

The Trezzo sull'Adda Bridge or Trezzo Bridge was a medieval bridge at Trezzo sull'Adda in Lombardy, Italy, spanning the Adda river. Completed in 1377, the single arch bridge held the record for the largest span for over four hundred years, until the beginnings of the Industrial Age, while it was not until the early 20th century that masonry bridges with larger openings were constructed. The Trezzo Bridge was built between 1370 and 1377 by order of the lord of Milan Bernabò Visconti.

Cappella Colleoni

The Cappella Colleoni (Colleoni Chapel) is a church/mausoleum in Bergamo, northern Italy. Dedicated to the saints Bartholomew, Mark and John the Baptist, it was built in 1472–1476 as the personal shrine for the famous condottiere Bartolomeo Colleoni, a member of one of the most outstanding families of the city, and his beloved daughter Medea. The site chosen was that of the sacristy of the nearby church of Santa Maria Maggiore, which was demolished by Colleoni's soldiers.
