Teshima

Teshima is an island located in the Inland Sea of Japan, between Naoshima and Shōdoshima islands, and is part of Kagawa Prefecture. It has an area of 14.5 km and a population of about 1,000 people. The island was made famous for a major industrial waste scandal.

Ooshima Seishoen Sanatorium

Ooshima Seishōen Sanatorium, or National Sanatorium Ooshima Seishōen is a sanatorium for leprosy or ex-leprosy patients, situated in a small island called Ooshima, Takamatsu-shi, Kagawa-ken, Japan which was established in 1909.

Megijima

Megijima is an island located in the Seto Inland Sea of Japan, north of the city of Takamatsu, and is part of Kagawa Prefecture. It has an area of 2.66 km2, a coastline of 8.9 km, and a population of about 200. The island has been linked to the mythical island Onigashima ("island of ogres"), visited by the folk tale character Momotarō. The caves at the top of Washi-ga-mine Summit, as the home of the ogres from that story, are a popular tourist spot.

Yashima-ji

Yashima-ji is a Shingon temple in Yashima, a lava plateau to the northeast of Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. A branch temple of Ninna-ji in Kyoto, it is the eighty-fourth temple on the Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage. It is said to have been founded as a Ritsu school temple by Ganjin in 754, and to have been converted by Kōbō Daishi. The 5x5 bay irimoya-zukuri tiled Hondō (1618) has been designated an Important Cultural Property.

Yakuri Cable

The Yakuri Cable is a Japanese funicular line in Takamatsu, Kagawa. The line does not have any official name. This is the only funicular line Shikoku Cable operates, while it also operates aerial tramways. The line opened in 1931 as a route to Yakuri-ji, the 85th temple of Shikoku Pilgrimage.
