Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park

Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park is located around Mount Takao in Hachiōji, Tokyo, Japan. Established in 1967 for the centennial celebrations of the accession of Emperor Meiji, it is the smallest of the Quasi-National Parks. Next in size is the coeval Meiji no Mori Minō Quasi-National Park in Ōsaka Prefecture, to which the park is connected by the Tōkai Nature Trail. Mount Takao, rising to 599 m above sea level, is a massif of low mountains formed in the Mesozoic era.

Takao Station (Tokyo)

Takao Station is a railway station located in Hachiōji, Tokyo. It services the JR East Chūō Main Line and the Keiō Takao Line. It is the last major station in Tokyo for the westbound Chūō Main Line, and as such, is a turning point for many local and rapid trains on the line. It is also the terminus for Narita Express trains travelling on the line. Daily users in 2010 averaged 30,517 for the JR line, and 27,685 for the Keio line.

Tama Forest Science Garden

The Tama Forest Science Garden (多摩森林科学園, Tama Shinrin Kagakuen, 57 hectares), formerly the Asakawa Experiment Forest and sometimes also known as the Tama Botanical Park, is an arboretum located at the foot of Mount Takao, 1833-81 Todori, Hachiōji, Tokyo, Japan. It is open daily except Mondays; an admission fee is charged. The site was previously a battlefield where Hojo Ujiteru fought Takeda Shingen, then placed under custody of the Tokugawa shogunate.
