The Future Leaders Academy is a private, mixed, day and boarding school established in 2000 in the Nyeri District near Mt. Kenya. It is owned by Evanson Mundia and Martha Nyarurii Mundia who are both retired teachers. Kerugoya is a town in Kenya. It is the capital of Kirinyaga Districtof Central Province. Kerugoya is located 10 kilometres east of Karatina and 40 kilometres west of Embu. The word Kerugoya comes from Kikuyu words 'Kiri-guoya' which means 'The fearful (Bush)'. The place was formerly covered with thick bushes and when the whites arrived in the villages, they named the so-called 'Kithaka kiri guoya' (Gichugu Dialect). Hence the modern name Kerugoya.

The remaining five wards of Mathira constituency represent Nyeri County Council. Karatina is on the Nairobi – Nyeri highway, 20 kilometres southeast of Nyeri town and south of Mount Kenya.
