Kerugoya

Kerugoya is a town in Kenya. It is the capital of Kirinyaga Districtof Central Province. Kerugoya is located 10 kilometres east of Karatina and 40 kilometres west of Embu. The word Kerugoya comes from Kikuyu words 'Kiri-guoya' which means 'The fearful (Bush)'. The place was formerly covered with thick bushes and when the whites arrived in the villages, they named the so-called 'Kithaka kiri guoya' (Gichugu Dialect). Hence the modern name Kerugoya.

Kirinyaga County

Kirinyaga County is a county in the old Central Province of Kenya. Its administrative centre is Kerugoya. As of 1999, the district had a population of 457,105 and an area of 1,478 km².

Future Leaders Academy, Kenya

The Future Leaders Academy is a private, mixed, day and boarding school established in 2000 in the Nyeri District near Mt. Kenya. It is owned by Evanson Mundia and Martha Nyarurii Mundia who are both retired teachers. The Future Leaders Academy is a not-for-profit independent school registered with the Kenyan Ministry of Education, as a private school. With approximately 130 students and staff, it is a multi-cultural school with students from all over the country.

Karatina

Karatina is a town in Central Province, Kenya. It hosts a municipal council and the headquarters of Mathira East district. Karatina municipality has a total population of 6,852, all classified as urban (1999 census). Karatina municipality has six electoral wards, all falling in the Mathira Constituency. The remaining five wards of Mathira constituency represent Nyeri County Council. Karatina is on the Nairobi – Nyeri highway, 20 kilometres southeast of Nyeri town and south of Mount Kenya.

Kutus

Kutus may also refer to Qutuz Kutus is a town in Kirinyaga District, Kenya. Kutus forms a local authority together with another township, Kerugoya. It is known as Kerugoya/Kutus municipality. The municipality has a population of 39,441, of whom 14,056 are classified urban (1999 census). The municipality has six wards: Kerugoya Central, Kerugoya North, Kerugoya South, Kutus South, Kutus Central and Nduini.
