Ēdole Castle is a Gothic Revival castle situated on the banks of Ēdole Lake, Ēdole parish, in the historical region of Courland, western Latvia. Originally consisting of two residential buildings linked by a stone wall, the castle is surrounded by landscape park. Reģi
Reģi is a village in Alsunga municipality in the historical region of Courland in western Latvia. On 22 February 2007 a huge fire caused 26 fatalities in the "Reģi" nursing home near Alsunga, which was later closed. It was the most fatal fire in the modern history of Latvia.
