The Šventoji or Latvian Sventāja River is a river in the northwest of Lithuania and southwest of Latvia. It begins in Skuodas district and for 30 km flows on the international border between Latvia and Lithuania. Šventoji River flows into the Baltic Sea near Šventoji settlement north of Palanga.

Būtingė
Būtingė is a small village at the coast of the Baltic Sea in the north of Lithuania, at the border to Latvia. It belongs to the municipality of Palanga, and is situated 17 km north of the town Palanga. The village has long time belonged to Livonia, and is a part of Lithuania since 1921. The Būtingė oil terminal, a part of ORLEN Lietuva, is in function from 1999. The terminal is somewhat controversial because of fear of oil spills, which have occurred.

Ošupis
The Ošupis is a stream in the west of Lithuania in the municipality Palanga in Klaipėda County in Samogitia. The total length of the stream is 5.4 kilometres and the drainage basin area is 7.5 square kilometres . It begins in Kontininkai (in the district of Palanga). It flows at first to the north then from the village Užkanavė to the west and afterward joins the stream Kaniavosis and flows into the Baltic Sea near Užkaniavė (north of Palanga).

Palanga International Airport
Palanga International Airport is an international airport located in the western part of Lithuania near the Baltic Sea. The airport focuses on servicing short and mid-range routes. The facility expansion completed in 2007 has made long-range route servicing a possibility. Since 1993, the number of passengers passing through the airport has been increasing annually. After Lithuania became a member of EU, passengers in 2004 increased more than 60% in comparison with that of 2003.
