Lac de la Haute-Sûre
Lac de la Haute-Sûre, is a commune in north-western Luxembourg. It is part of the canton of Wiltz, which is part of the district of Diekirch. The commune is named after the reservoir of the upper Sauer river. The commune's administrative centre is Bavigne. Lac de la Haute-Sûre was formed on 1 January 1979 from the former communes of Harlange and Mecher, both in Wiltz canton. The law creating Lac de la Haute-Sûre was passed on 23 December 1978.

The law creating Lac de la Haute-Sûre was passed on 23 December 1978.

Esch-sur-Sûre is a commune and small town in north-western Luxembourg. It is part of the canton of Wiltz, which is part of the district of Diekirch. The commune is the second smallest in area in Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town of Esch-sur-Sûre, which lies in the north of the commune, has a population of 314. Esch-sur-Sûre is situated by the river Sauer, just east and downstream of the artificial Upper Sûre Lake.
