Renggam

Renggam (Majlis Daerah Simpang Renggam) is a municipality and industrial town in Kluang district, Johor, Malaysia. There is a large detention camp (Simpang Renggam Prison), built there in 1986. In 2004 over 1,500 tons of toxic waste were found stored in an abandoned brick factory. The toxic waste had been illegally imported from Taiwan. As of 2006 the toxic waste still had not been taken care of.

Simpang Renggam

Simpang Renggam is a town in Kluang district of Johor, Malaysia. It lies on the old main trunk road that used to take the majority of the North-South traffic going through Johor before the opening of the North-South Expressway. Besides Simpang Renggam housing the 5th Battalion Royal Malaysian Police General Operation Force . The Simpang Renggam Behavioural Rehabilitation Centre is also located in this town. It is the largest drug rehabilitation centre in the country.

Layang-Layang, Johor

Layang-Layang is a suburban town in Johor, Malaysia. It is situated within the parliamentary constituency of Simpang Renggam. It locates at approximately 72 km north of Johor Bahru and 32 km south of the Kluang district. It was developed at early of 20th century and became one of the Chinese new village (Xin Cun) during the military conflict outburst between Malaya Communist and Britain colonial government.
