Tanah Merah, Malaysia

Tanah Merah (meaning Red Earth or Laterite) is a territory (jajahan) and town in the state of Kelantan in northeast Malaysia. The capital and main town is Bandar Tanah Merah where is situated nearby Sungai Kelantan. It is bordered by Pasir Mas in the north, Machang to the East, Kuala Krai to the South East, Jeli to the South West and Thailand in the West. Historically it used to be a capital of a kingdom called Chi Tu.

Tanah Merah railway station

The Tanah Merah railway station is a Malaysian railway station located in Tanah Merah, Malaysia. It is one of the two minor railway stations of KTM's East Coast Line. The station is often prone to floods in Kelantan because it is the only KTMB railway station located inside a town.

Machang, Kelantan

Machang is a territory (jajahan) of Kelantan, Malaysia. It is bordered by the districts of Kota Bharu to the north, Pasir Puteh to the east, Tanah Merah to the west and Kuala Krai to the south. It is home to one of the branch campuses of Universiti Teknologi MARA. Machang is also the same name of its major town.

Bukit Bunga

Bukit Bunga is a border village of the Malaysia-Thailand border in Kelantan, Malaysia. It is the latest border crossing between Malaysia and Thailand with the opening of the Bukit Bunga-Ban Buketa Bridge on December 21, 2007. Across the border is the Thai town of Ban Buketa in Amphoe Waeng, Narathiwat Province. Bukit Bunga is 30 km from Tanah Merah along East-West Highway. It's made up of several smaller kampungs, amogst them are Bukit Nangka, Cedok, Tokpe, Kampung Bukit, Renab, Jenub.

Bukit Bunga–Ban Buketa Bridge

Bukit Bunga-Ban Buketa Bridge is a bridge crossing Kolok River of the Malaysia-Thailand border, connecting Bukit Bunga town in Kelantan with Buketa village in Waeng District, Narathiwat Province, Thailand. It is the newest border crossing between Malaysia and Thailand and the second bridge crossing the Kolok river. The project was one of cooperative projects under the framework of Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT).
