Mentakab

Mentakab is a main town in Pahang, Malaysia, originally known as Pasir Rawa. It is close to Temerloh, Lanchang, Kampung Tualang, Kampung Gantok, Mengkarak and Kerdau. Mentakab was once considered by the State Government in the year 1901 to be the new centre of all administrative works in the state of Pahang. However, due to a problem of uneven land, Kuantan was to be the new capital of the state. Mentakab is located under the district of Temerloh.

Temerloh

Temerloh is a town in Central Pahang, Malaysia in Temerloh district. Located about 130 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur along the Kuantan-Kuala Lumpur trunk road, Temerloh is the second largest town in Pahang after Kuantan. It is situated at the junction of the Pahang River and the Semantan River. The district consists of two areas, the 1,442-square-kilometre Municipal Council Area (64.08%) and the 808-square-kilometre outer Municipal Council Area (35.92%).

Karak, Pahang

Karak is a small town in Pahang, Malaysia. It is well known as a rest town (Bandar Persinggahan) of Federal route from Kuala Lumpur to Kuantan. It also gives its name to the famous Karak Highway, which links it to Kuala Lumpur. Famous Malaysian actors and actress, Daniel Razlan, Mohd Farid Kamarudin, Nona bakar, Sawiyah Jeli, Khairul Amini and Kalsom Kadir currently live here. Karak is also a main town within the Sabai state constituency of Pahang, with a total of 10,000 registered voters.
