Battle of Kirina

The Battle of Kirina, also known as the Battle of Krina, was a confrontation between the Sosso king Sumanguru Kanté and the Mandinka prince Sundiata Keita. Sundiata Keita's forces roundly defeated those of Sumanguru Kanté, guaranteeing the pre-eminence of Keita's new Mali Empire over West Africa.

Kati Cercle

Kati Cercle is an administrative subdivision of the Koulikoro Region of Mali. Its seat is the town of Kati, which is also its largest town. It lies at the southwest corner of the region, and completely surrounds the Bamako Capital District. Until the capital was hived off in 1977, the combined Cercle was called Bamako Cercle, with the capital city as its seat. Kati Cercle is home to primarily Bambara farmers, as well as Bozo and Fula populations.

Bamako-Sénou International Airport

Bamako Senou International Airport is Mali's main airport approximately 15 km south of downtown Bamako, the capital of Mali in West Africa. It is managed by Aéroports du Mali (ADM). Its operations are overseen by the Malian Ministry of Equipment and Transports.
