Isla Pitahaya, Baja California Sur

Isla Pitahaya is an island in Bahía Concepción near Playa Santispac. The island's name is derived from the fact that the island has many tall Pitahaya Cacti that are clearly observable from afar. Isla Pitahaya also has a lighthouse. The southwest shore has a small white, sandy beach while the rest of the island is rocky. The island is about 1.5 miles from Playa Santispac and 0.5 miles from the nearest mainland shore.

Bahía Concepción, Baja California Sur

Bahía Concepción is one of the largest bays of Baja California. Lying on the Sea of Cortez, and less than 20 miles south of Mulegé, Bahía Concepción features over 50 miles of beaches. Mulegé

Mulegé is an oasis town in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur, situated at the mouth of the Río de Santa Rosalía. It is the fourth-largest community in Mulegé Municipality. It had a population of 3,821 according to the Mexican federal census of 2010.
