Tlaltizapán is a city in the Mexican state of Morelos. It stands at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:18|4|N|99|07|W||| | |name= }}. The city serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding municipality, with which it shares a name. The municipality reported 45,272 inhabitants in the year 2000 census. It spans the Balsas River (known locally as the Mezcala River) close to the western Pacific coast of the country. This bridge, with a total length of 891 m and six uneven spans completed in 1993, has been in service since 1994 as a toll bridge.
