Ifni

Ifni was a Spanish province on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, south of Agadir and across from the Canary Islands. It had a total area of 1,502 km² (580 sq mi), and a population of 51,517 in 1964. The main industry was fishing. Spain's presence in the area can be traced to a settlement called Santa Cruz de la Mar Pequeña, founded in 1476. The Spanish were expelled from the area in 1524 by the Berbers.

Guelmim

Guelmim, is a city in southern Morocco, often nicknamed Gateway to the Desert (la porte du désert). It is the capital of the Guelmim-Es Semara region which includes southern Morocco (south of the Souss-Massa-Drâa region) and northern Western Sahara. The population of the city is 117 000 (2006 census), making it the largest city in the region. The N1 and N12 highways cross at Guelmim and link it to the nearby region of Souss-Massa-Drâa. It is home to a camel market.
