Marracuene
Marracuene, earlier known as Vila Luísa is a town in Mozambique's Maputo Province in Marracuene District, located 30 km north of Maputo on the Incomati River. The Parque de Campismo de Marracuene, a popular camping destination, is located nearby. Mozal is an aluminium smelter joint project in Mozambique. The project is a smelting facility that began operations as a producer of aluminium exclusively for export. The smelter is located 20km west of the city of Maputo in the south of the country. Mozal is a joint venture between BHP Billiton (41 percent), Mitsubishi Corporation (25 percent), Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa (24 percent), and the Government of Mozambique (4 percent).
