Nampong Air Force Base

Kawmein Pagoda

Kawmein Pagoda is a pagoda in Myitkyina, Myanmar. It is also known as Myoti Pagoda. In July 2010, Vice-Senior General Maung Aye, and wife Daw Mya Mya San attended ceremony at the pagoda to hoist diamond orbs.

Myitkyina

Myitkyina is the capital city of Kachin State in Myanmar (Burma), located 1,480 kilometers from Yangon, and 785 kilometers from Mandalay. In Burmese it means "near the big river", and in fact "Myitkyina" lies on the west bank of the Ayeyarwady River, just below 40 kilometers from Myit-son of its two headstreams. It is the northernmost river port and railway terminus in Myanmar.

Myitkyina University

Myitkyina University is a university in northern Myitkyina, Myanmar. Since 1996, on-campus student housing has been banned. However, there are plans to reopen the Hkakabo (to house 120 male students) and Swunparabo (to house 128 female students) residence halls in 2013.
