Swakopmund Skydiving Club

Swakopmund Skydiving Club, founded in 1974, operates out of Swakopmund Airport 4 km outside of the town of Swakopmund, Namibia. The club provides a 7 day a week facility for sports skydiving, static line student training and progression, accelerated freefall student training and progression, and tandem introductory skydiving. Swakopmund Skydiving Club has organised the legendary Desert Skydiving Boogies since 1974.

Swakopmund Railway Station

Swakopmund Railway Station is a railway station serving the town of Swakopmund in Namibia. It is part of the TransNamib railway network. Swakopmund was the starting point of the first state railway line in German South West Africa. This line was built in 1902 during Imperial Germany's colonial rule, and connected Swakopmund to Windhoek. In 1914 the extension to Walvis Bay was completed, with a railtrack very close to the shore of the Atlantic Ocean.
