Akersloot is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Castricum, and lies about 9 km south of Alkmaar. Until 1 January 2002, Akersloot was a separate municipality. In 2001, the town of Akersloot had 4347 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.81 km², and contained 1657 residences. The wider statistical area of Akersloot has a population of around 5080.

Bakkum is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Castricum and lies about 12 km southwest of Alkmaar. It is the oldest village in Castricum and the closest to the shore. In 2001, the town of Bakkum had around 2680 inhabitants. This includes the neighbourhood of Bakkum-Noord (550 inhabitants) which is sometimes identified as a separate village.

AFAS Stadion
AFAS Stadion, formerly called DSB Stadion is a stadium in Alkmaar, Netherlands. It is used for football matches and is the home stadium of AZ. The stadium is able to hold 17,000 people and it officially opened on 4 August 2006 with a friendly against Arsenal. AZ lost the match 3–0, with Gilberto Silva scoring the stadium's first ever goal. The first Eredivisie game against NAC Breda was won 8–1 by the home team with the German midfielder Simon Cziommer scoring a hat-trick.

West-Knollendam is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Zaanstad, and is situated about 15 km northwest of Amsterdam. The village is located by the Zaan River. On the opposite shore is Oostknollendam, in the municipality of Wormerland. In 2001, the town of West-Knollendam had 468 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.09 km², and contained 172 residences.
