Akersloot is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Castricum, and lies about 9 km south of Alkmaar. Until 1 January 2002, Akersloot was a separate municipality. In 2001, the town of Akersloot had 4347 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.81 km², and contained 1657 residences. The wider statistical area of Akersloot has a population of around 5080.

AFAS Stadion
AFAS Stadion, formerly called DSB Stadion is a stadium in Alkmaar, Netherlands. It is used for football matches and is the home stadium of AZ. The stadium is able to hold 17,000 people and it officially opened on 4 August 2006 with a friendly against Arsenal. AZ lost the match 3–0, with Gilberto Silva scoring the stadium's first ever goal. The first Eredivisie game against NAC Breda was won 8–1 by the home team with the German midfielder Simon Cziommer scoring a hat-trick.

De Woude is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Castricum, and lies about 9 km south of Alkmaar. Until 1 January 2002, De Woude belonged to the municipality of Akersloot. The statistical district "De Woude" has a population of around 140. This includes the hamlet Stierop, south of the village of De Woude.

Grootschermer is a town in the Dutch province of North-Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Schermer, and lies about 15 km southeast of Alkmaar. In 2001, the town of Grootschermer had 205 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.048 km², and contained 89 residences. The statistical area "Grootschermer", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 540.

Alkmaarderhout
The Alkmaarderhout, more commonly known as the "Hout" was a multi-purpose stadium in Alkmaar, Netherlands. Until 2006 it was used mostly for football matches as the home ground of Eredivisie team AZ. The stadium had a capacity of 8,914 people and was built in 1948. In 2006 it was replaced by the brand new, state of the art DSB Stadion and the Hout has been knocked down, possibly to make way for a new housing development.
