Soestduinen is a town in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Soest, and lies about 3 km south of Soest. In 2001, the town of Soestduinen had 113 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.07 km², and contained 45 residences.

Soesterberg Royal Netherlands Air Force Base

Soesterberg Air Base was a Royal Netherlands Air Force military airbase located in Soesterberg, 14 kilometres east-northeast of Utrecht. It was first established as an airfield in 1911, and in 1913, the Dutch Army bought the field and established the Army Aviation Division. For almost 40 years, United States Air Force facilities at Soesterberg, named Camp New Amsterdam was a major front line USAFE airbase during the Cold War.

Soestdijk Palace

Soestdijk Palace is a former palace of the Dutch Royal Family. It consists of a central block and two wings. Although named after the village of Soestdijk, which is largely in the municipality of Soest, the Soestdijk Palace is just north of the border in the municipality of Baarn in the province of Utrecht. It was the home for over six decades of the late Queen Juliana and her husband, the late Prince Bernhard until their deaths in 2004.

Soestdijk

Soestdijk was a village in the municipality of Soest, Utrecht, Netherlands and gives its name to Paleis Soestdijk, which from 1937 to 2004 was the residence of Princess and later Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard (who both died in 2004). Most of Soestdijk is now a part of the city of Soest. A smaller part of the former village, including the palace, is part of the municipality of Baarn.

Drakesteijn

Drakesteijn or Drakestein is a small castle at 9 Slotlaan in the hamlet of Lage Vuursche, in the municipality of Baarn. The owner is Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. Beatrix bought the castle in 1959, when she was the Crown Princess, and took up residence in 1963. After her marriage in 1966 she continued to live there with her husband, Prince Claus and later their three sons as well.
