Knottingley Park

Knottingley Park is a cricket ground in Waimate, Canterbury, New Zealand. The first recorded match held on the ground came in 1902 when South Canterbury played North Otago. The ground later held a single List A match in the 1984/85 Shell Cup when Canterbury played Central Districts, which resulted in a 6 wicket victory for Central Districts.

Hook, New Zealand

Hook is a lightly populated locality in the southern Canterbury region of New Zealand's South Island. It is situated on coastal plains by the Pacific Ocean and Wainono Lagoon. Hook River flows through Hook into the Wainono Lagoon. The nearest town is Waimate, approximately 8 km to the southwest, and other nearby localities include Makikihi to the north, Waiariari to the west, and Studholme to the south.

Wainono Lagoon

Wainono Lagoon is a shallow lake in the southern Canterbury region of New Zealand's South Island. A number of rivers flow into the lagoon, including the Hook River from the north and the Waihao River from the south. Nearby settlements include Hook and Studholme, with the town of Waimate approximately eight kilometres west. Although it is within metres of the Pacific Ocean, the Wainono Lagoon is fresh water and separated from the sea by a gravel berm.

Waimate Creek

Waimate Creek is a natural watercourse in the southern Canterbury region of New Zealand's South Island. Its original Māori name was Te Waimatemate, which means "slowly moving waters".
