Cardrona, New Zealand

Cardrona is the name of a locality, skifield and beer in New Zealand. Established as a gold rush township in the 1860s on the banks of the small river of the same name, it is known for its distinctive hotel of gold rush vintage which is on the opposite side of the river to the original township of which few buildings remain. It is in a scenic setting on the Crown Range road which connects Wanaka and Queenstown.

Cardrona Bra Fence

The Cardrona Bra Fence was a controversial tourist attraction in Central Otago, New Zealand, where passers-by started to add bras to a rural fence, with the fence eventually growing into a famous tourists attraction with hundreds of individual bras. The fence was on a public road reserve adjacent to farm property in the Cardrona Valley area southwest of Wanaka, near a motorcar racetrack.

Cardrona Alpine Resort

Cardrona Alpine Resort is a ski resort in New Zealand's South Island. The skifield ranges from 1,260m to 1,894m. The distribution of slopes is 25% beginner, 50% intermediate and 25% advanced. There are 2 detachable quad chairlifts and 2 fixed-grip quad chairlift, 2 "magic carpet" learner lifts and 1 platter lift for beginners. Some snowmaking equipment is present. Snowboarding is well catered for with 2 half pipes and 4 terrain parks.

Mount Cardrona

Mount Cardrona in Central Otago, New Zealand, is the home of the Cardrona Ski Field. This is one of the most popular family orientated ski fields in New Zealand. Mount Cardrona is located in the Crown Range between Wanaka and Queenstown. The often photographed and historic Cardrona Hotel is located at the bottom of the access road climbing up to the Cardrona ski field.

Snow Park, New Zealand

Snow Park is a dedicated snowsports terrain park in South Island, New Zealand. Describing itself as the "first dedicated freestyle terrain park in the world" when it opened in 2002, it features a number of half-pipes, jumps and rails, instead of traditional ski runs. On-mountain accommodation has been available since 2006, prior to which people needed to commute daily from Wanaka or Queenstown. The site shares an access road with nearby Snow Farm.
