Macetown
Macetown is an historic gold mining settlement in the Otago region of the South Island of New Zealand. It is now uninhabited but has become a tourist attraction. Access to the town is via an unsealed road that heads up the steep-sided Arrow gorge. This can be traversed on foot or by mountain bike, horse or four-wheel-drive vehicles. The road crosses the Arrow River or its side creeks 22 times and is not suitable for two-wheel-drive cars. The start of the road is found in the Arrowtown car park.

Millbrook Resort

Mount Cardrona
Mount Cardrona in Central Otago, New Zealand, is the home of the Cardrona Ski Field. This is one of the most popular family orientated ski fields in New Zealand. Mount Cardrona is located in the Crown Range between Wanaka and Queenstown. The often photographed and historic Cardrona Hotel is located at the bottom of the access road climbing up to the Cardrona ski field.

Shotover River
The Shotover River is located in the Otago region of the South Island of New Zealand. The name correctly suggests that this 75 kilometre-long river is fast flowing, with numerous rapids. The river flows generally south from the Southern Alps on its journey running through the Skippers Canyon, before draining into the Kawarau River east of Queenstown. The Edith Cavell bridge crosses the river at Arthurs Point.
