Ngahere

Ngahere is a locality in the Grey District of the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island. The 2006 New Zealand Census of Population and Dwellings gave the population of Ngahere and its surrounding area as 345, an increase of 9.5% or 30 people since the 2001 census. Ngahere is located on the south bank of the Grey River, and State Highway 7 and the Stillwater - Westport Line (SWL) railway pass through the village.

Blackball, New Zealand

Blackball is a small town on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand, approximately 29 km from Greymouth. Blackball was named after the Black Ball Shipping Line, which leased land in the area to mine for coal. It was formerly known as Joliffetown and Moonlight Gully. Blackball is a centre of New Zealand radicalism and workers' militancy.

Rough River (New Zealand)

The Rough River, alternatively known as the Otututu River is a river of the West Coast Region of New Zealand's South Island. A major tributary of the Grey River, it flows south from its sources near Mount Uriah in the Paparoa Range 20 kilometres southeast of Charleston, to reach the Grey River to the southwest of the settlement of Ikamatua. The river is currently shown on maps as Otututu (Rough) River, although this orthography is no longer common for New Zealand Rivers.

Little Grey River

The Little Grey River, also known as the Māwheraiti is a river of the West Coast Region of New Zealand. It is a major tributary of the Grey River / Māwheranui which it joins at Ikamatua. The Little Grey rises in low hills above the Inangahua valley, its source being only 1 kilometre from the Inangahua River. It flows generally southwest, crossing the Maimai plain and the Ikamatua plain.
