Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic is a tertiary learning institution in Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. It was founded in 1991. The polytechnic has schools of Applied Sciences, Communication Arts, Preliminary Studies, Business and Management, Engineering, Environmental Studies and Legal Studies. The polytechnic is owned by Akwa Ibom State. In 2010, the state allocated about N1 billion to enhance the polytechnic.

Enyimba International Stadium

Enyimba International Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Aba, Nigeria. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It serves as a home ground of Enyimba International F.C. The stadium holds 25,000 people. On November 3, 2008 the stadium received an indefinite ban after the home crowd attacked referees after a heated 1-1 tie with rivals Heartland F.C..

Ikot Okoro

Ikot Okoro is a rural settlement of Akwa Ibom State and was one of the larger population concentrations in the now defunct South Eastern Nigeria. Now smaller, it is about 15 km southwest of the regional center of Abak. The people of Ikot Okoro have been clamoring for the creation of a local Government area (LGA) from the present day Oruk Anam LGA.

Aba, Abia

Aba is a city and a big trading center in Abia State, southern Nigeria, located on the Aba River. Aba was established by the Igbo People of Nigeria as a market town and then later a military post was placed there by the British colonial administration in 1901. The city became a collecting point for agricultural products following the British made railway running through it to Port Harcourt.

Ikot Ekpene

Ikot Ekpene, known throughout Nigeria as " The Raffia City", or locally simply as "IK," is a historic town in the Niger Delta of Nigeria, and is in the densely populated state of Akwa Ibom. It is the political and cultural capital of the Annang ethnic group in Nigeria (Nair, 1972). The town is located on the A342 highway that parallels the coast, between Calabar to the south east and Aba to the west, with the state capital, Uyo, on this road just to the east.
